Buying
Where can I buy squishies?
Here, shipped worldwide within 7 days. Beyond us, squishies turn up in Five Below, Target and Walmart, but stock is unpredictable and shape-specific runs sell out fast. Online is where the range is.
What stores sell dumpling squishies?
In store, availability is patchy and changes weekly, so we do not send people on wasted trips. Our dumpling squishy collection is stocked and ships in 7 days.
How much does a squishy cost?
Between about $5 for a mini or keychain and $25 for a jumbo display piece. Standard sizes sit around $12 to $18. Anything under $4 usually means a thin skin, a fast rebound and a short life.
How do I tell a real dumpling squishy from a fake?
Check the pack for a batch number and a named seller. The versions pulled from sale in 2026 carried neither, which is precisely why regulators could not trace them. Beyond the paperwork: a real one has an even, slow rebound and no seam ridge. A fake snaps back and often smells.
What is a rare dumpling squishy?
A colourway produced in a limited run, usually a glitter or a mystery-box exclusive, which then trades above retail. "Rare" is a resale label rather than a manufacturer one, so treat any premium asked for it with scepticism.
Safety
Are squishy dumplings toxic?
Some have been. In 2026 a squishy dumpling was withdrawn from sale after benzene was found in its outer layer, and it carried no batch number, which made it untraceable. That is the standard we work against. See our safety page for what we check.
Why do some squishies smell bad?
A strong solvent or fuel-like smell, often described as paint thinner, is not normal and does not air out. It usually points to residual solvent left in the foam. Stop using it, keep it away from children, and contact the seller.
What age are squishies suitable for?
Most are rated 3 and over, because small or detachable parts are a choking risk for younger children. The rating is shown on every product page here. Check it rather than assuming, especially on minis and keychains.
The product itself
What is the squishy toy trend?
A run of soft, slow-rising toys shaped like food and animals that spread through short-form video from 2024 onward. Dumplings peaked in early 2026; butter and cheese shapes are where the interest has moved since.
What does slow rise mean?
Squeeze it flat, let go, and the shape returns over several seconds instead of snapping back. Denser foam rises more slowly, and larger pieces rise more slowly than small ones made the same way. We print the measured rebound time on each product page.
How do you make a squishy?
The homemade version is paper: draw your shape twice, colour both sides, tape the edges leaving a gap, stuff it with cotton or tissue, tape it shut. It will squish, but it will not rise slowly. Slow rise needs open-cell foam cured under control, which is a factory process.
Looking after it
How do I clean a squishy?
Cool water, a little mild soap, squeeze gently rather than scrubbing, then air dry completely before storing. Never use a washing machine, a dryer or hot water: heat collapses the foam permanently.
Why has my squishy stopped rising slowly?
Dirt and skin oil clog the foam over time, which speeds up the return. A gentle wash in cool water brings most of it back. Keeping it out of direct sun helps too, since UV hardens the surface.
Orders
How long does delivery take?
Within 7 days of your order, tracked. You get a tracking number by email at dispatch. It usually starts updating within 24 to 48 hours, and before the first scan the number exists but shows nothing.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days, unused and in its packaging. Mystery boxes can be returned unopened; once the seal is broken the contents are known, so an opened box comes back only if the item is faulty.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Duties and import taxes may apply depending on your country and are not included in the price unless stated at checkout.
